Skip Hire Group provides skip bin hire across Central Victoria, from Bendigo to Melbourne. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, call us and we will explain it.

What We Collect
When you fill in a form on this website, or call or email us, we collect the details you give us. That is typically:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The address or suburb where the bin is going
- Details about the job, such as the bin size you want and the type of waste
We only collect what we need to quote and deliver the job. You do not have to give us your details, but if you do not, we cannot quote or book a bin for you.
We do not collect payment card details through this website. Payment is arranged directly with us when you book.
We also collect basic technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and which pages you looked at. This comes from the cookies and tracking tools described below.
What We Use It For
We use your information to:
- Work out the right bin for your job and give you a quote
- Deliver, service and collect the bin
- Contact you about your booking, including confirming times and following up
- Invoice you and keep our own business records
- Answer questions or complaints
- Improve the website and understand which pages people find useful
We do not use your details to send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
We share it only where it is needed to do the job or to run the business:
- Our drivers and staff, so they can deliver and collect your bin
- Waste and recycling facilities, where the job requires it
- Our accountant, bookkeeper and payment providers, for invoicing and records
- Our website and IT providers, who host the site and keep it running
- Government agencies or law enforcement, where the law requires us to
Some of the tools we use to run the website store information on servers outside Australia. That is normal for web hosting and analytics services.
Cookies And Tracking
This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device that helps the site work and helps us understand how people use it.
We use:
Essential cookies, which make the website function, for example remembering what you put in a form.
Analytics, which tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they found us. This is reported to us as totals and trends, not as named individuals.
The Facebook pixel, which tells us when someone who visited our site came from a Facebook or Instagram ad, and lets us show our ads to people who have visited before. Facebook may match this activity to a Facebook account it already holds. Facebook's own data policy governs what they do with it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work properly if you do. You can also opt out of personalised advertising in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our tax and legal record keeping obligations. When we no longer need them, we delete them or remove anything that identifies you.
Getting A Copy, Or Asking Us To Delete It
You can ask us:
- For a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- To correct it, if it is wrong or out of date
- To delete it, where we are not required to keep it
Email steve@skiphiregroup.com.au or call 0401 650 625 and tell us what you need. We will ask a couple of questions to confirm who you are, and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
If we cannot delete something because we are legally required to keep it, for example an invoice, we will tell you why.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first on the details above and we will try to sort it out.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes To This Policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the last updated date at the top.
